The second half consistied of Fiona's Oboe Quartet, 'Cycles of Life', which was inspired by Huw's playing in the St Woolos Sinfonia, when she used to play in it some 13 years ago. Fiona writes: "I love the reedy timbre of the oboe combined with stringed instruments. Such a beautiful palette to work with and such a natural & poignant sound which evokes deep feeling & emotion." The piece is in six movements, as follows:
.Cloudcover
.Rose Moon in Capricorn
.Gratitude
.In Memoriam
.Life-Streams
.Sunshine & Storms
